Back to one of my favourite distros, Xubuntu, I have installed this to my Laptop's hard disk, and its one of the best Linux distros I could recommend, it supports numerous USB wireless adapters, and it comes with all the features you would expect from a fully featured operating system, internet browser, word processor, the very essential games, I think you get the general idea!
Best thing is, its free, ie, it doesn't cost a penny, its also stable and secure, forget about viruses, theres about eight hundred linux viruses to date, far fewer than the estimated (and ever increasing) 1,000,000 that exist in Windows.
